Vinod Kumar Dwivedi (born 10 May 1961) is an Indian classical vocalist in the Dhrupad-Dhamar-genre of Hindustani classical music.〔 He has been awarded the U.P. Sangeet Natak Academy Award 2006 by the government and ‘Sangeet Gaurav Samman’ by Rang Bharthi.〔〔 == Early life and education == He was born in a middle-class family in Banda district. During his childhood Dwivedi was trained by his maternal uncle Sadhu Prashad Shukla and by Swami Atmanand in Banda, Uttar Pradesh. Later he was trained by Kashinath Bodas, Abhay Narayan Malik and Prem Kumar Mallick. He got an MA in Political Science, the Sangeet Prabhakar (Vocal) from Prayag Sangeet Samiti, and the Sangeet Alankar (Vocal) from Gandharav Mandal, and passed the UGC NET lectureship examination (Music).〔〔 Dwivedi sings Dhrupad-Dhamar, khyal, bhajan, thumri, geet, and Charturan.
